The research workbench begins
First commit of the Research VM Controller (rvmc). The exhibition controller’s job is to hold one known-good state alive for months; understanding a work is the opposite job — open it up, expose its state, try things and break them, roll back, and write down what you learned. rvmc is the workbench for that second job: era-correct virtual machines driven from the browser, with snapshots as the undo button.
